Class Description
Tae Kwon Do
Tae Kwon Do is the Korean
Art of self-defense. Literally translated, it means foot/hand art, or
method for kicking and punching. It includes not only the physical
discipline, but also a mental discipline combined with a deep
philosophy.
Physically it helps to develop
good coordination and a strong body.

Mentally it helps by building self-confidence, developing
good judgment, and exercising a sound mind.

In other words, Tae Kwon Do is a guide for the formation
of outstanding character.
Tae Kwon Do is one of the most popular martial arts in our
area and is also practiced as an Olympic sport.
Equipment
Safety is naturally a main
concern and therefore necessary precautions must be taken. All students
willing to participate in contact sparring need to obtain the following
protective sparring gear. Purchase of equipment is not required to
begin classes, but will become necessary for participation in
contact sparring activities.
- Cloth Shin and Instep, and Forearm protectors
 
- Mouth Piece
- Head Gear
- Chest Protector (optional as those owned by the
studio may be shared.)
- Men and Boys - Groin Guard (Mandatory)

Student
Enrollment Agreement
- Agreement for Participation in Tae Kwon Do / Hap Ki
Do Class(es). This form needs to be printed and signed by the
